The study was conducted over three successive waves with the express intention of tracking adoption rates and examining the effects of previous experience with a range of technologies on the adoption and implementation of knowledge media in the educational setting. The study attests to statistically significant changes in educator adoption rates for software and other educational tools. Some statistical evidence is found that previous experience with technologies and products can be used to predict individual adoption of related innovations. The findings are of value to the publishing industry and to the management of educational institutions.
