Iodine intakes and food sources of iodine in Victorian schoolchildren

This research is the first to examine the iodine intakes and food sources of iodine in a sample of Australian schoolchildren. The research findings indicate that since the introduction of mandatory fortification of bread with iodised salt in 2009, the iodine intakes of Australian schoolchildren have improved and that Australian schoolchildren are now iodine replete.
