Kaleidoscopic archives: a history about London Missionary Society records, 1813-2022

This thesis examines records using social history and archival theory to illuminate obscured knowledge and the fracturing of experiences across imperial archives. Ultimately, this thesis demonstrates how, in the mid-twentieth century, Australian scholars curated these historic imperial records concerning the Pacific Islands into a modern archive that reflected the gendered, racialised and imperial knowledge.
