Keepers of culture: women, food and writing

This Creative Writing thesis argues that women act as keepers of culture through foodways practices. It represents women’s relationships to food work in fiction to acknowledge the significant role that women and cooking play within communities. The short stories, produced in this study, were developed in conversation with selected recipes.
