Land change: continental scale trends and local scale impacts

This thesis analyzes historical and future land change dynamics in Australia and impacts of land change and environmental factors on the carbon balance of South American tropical mountainous ecosystems. Outputs from this thesis can be used as inputs for land management, policy formulation, and global sustainability modelling more broadly.<p></p>
