Explores the rise of town planning in interwar Australia, concentrating largely on the 1920s real estate 'boom'. Whereas previous studies have concentrated on government-centred planning, examination of the lives, work, and self-promotion of four principal planners of the era reveals innovative and ambitious work for commercial land developers.
