This study explored the potential of Lesson Study to support teacher professional learning and student learning in socially disadvantaged regions. It identified key contextual factors that have an integral role to play in the successful implementation of Lesson Study when addressing the complex needs of students learning in regions that have been categorised as socially disadvantaged.
