Lie symmetries of partial differential equations using symbolic computing

ButcherThis study concludes that DESOLV is the best of five leading packages at determining the Lie point symmetries of partial differential equations. A new function, REDUCEVAR, is presented which is fundamental in the finding of similarity solutions.
