This thesis systematically studied the mechanoelectrical energy conversion properties of electrospun poly(vinylidene fluoride) nanofibres. And on this basis, a novel piezoelectric nanofibres of polyamide-imide with high-temperature resistance was developed. The fundamental understanding and novel findings in this thesis will assist in developing high performance energy harvesters.
