Microbiologically influenced corrosion: discovering inhibitors and their mechanisms

This thesis investigated the development of new environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors to protect mild steel alloys from deterioration. The results revealed that the engineered inhibitors can effectively act as high-performance anti-corrosion compounds in neutral and low pH conditions due to their micellar formation (structure) in the solution.
