I investigated relationships between nest-box microclimate and the breeding ecology and success of Adelaide rosellas. Temperature was found to be significantly related to clutch initiation, nestling growth and relative bill growth. Additionally, I found that polystyrene was an effective insulator which could potentially mitigate some aspects of increasingly variable climates.
