Mobile Image: Reading Modes of Vision in Forrest-Thomson and Guest

thesis
posted on 2019-01-01, 00:00 authored by Ella O'Keefe
This thesis investigated how different modes of vision operate in the work of two twentieth-century poets, Barbara Guest and Veronica Forrest-Thomson. It argued that both poets expanded Modernist approaches in order to develop their own concepts of open and mobile poetic image which anticipated the developments of post-modern and contemporary poetry.
