This study investigated motor imagery, the ability to imagine movement, in children and adults with atypical motor skill. It also used non-invasive brain stimulation to explore and modulate motor related brain regions to further understand the neural basis of motor imagery and motor development. The findings provided support for the possible role of reduced motor imagery in atypical motor development, and pointed towards the need for continued neurophysiological investigations of motor imagery ability
