Natural therapeutics coupled with nanotechnology, advancing Glioblastoma Multiforme treatment efficacy

thesis
posted on 2024-10-31, 05:30 authored by Jake Mazur
This thesis investigated the benefits of the natural therapeutics curcumin and bovine lactoferrin against Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), the most lethal form of brain cancer. Derived from plant and animal material respectively, curcumin was determined the more effective of the pair through cellular investigations and incorporated within sugar-based nanoparticles. Also investigated, the nanoparticles displayed anti-cancer potential for GBM, though further investigation is required.
