Novel nanoformulations to ameliorate aged macular degeneration in mammalian models

This study tested using ultrasmall Apo-bLf GCNP and RNV66 GCNP on the retinal and glial cells exposed to stress mimicking age-related macular degeneration models, in addition to, synthesise 3D tissue culture model. The study also charted delivering the ultrasmall nanoparticles to the posterior segment of the eye when applied topically using ex vivo model.
