This study explored decision-making and clinical practices that intensive care nurses undertake when managing vasoactive medication. Nurses used analytical and intuitive decision-making when titrating and weaning noradrenaline in critically-ill patients and developed strategies to reduce practice variability and uncertainty. Intensive care environment, culture, and access to resources influenced decision-making processes.
