Nutrients in Pirron Yallock Creek, southwestern Victoria : paleolimnological and management considerations

thesis
posted on 2000-01-01, 00:00 authored by Troy. Duthie
Nutrient losses from agricultural activities were found to impact upon the trophic status of Pirron Yallock Creek. Diatom fossils within a nearby lake indicated that the lake's nutrient concentrations have increased since European settlement. Alternative management techniques were presented to reduce agricultural nutrient losses and the impact upon the environment.
