Objectification and coping in relation to sexual harassment among women

The thesis examined sexual harassment perpetrated by strangers and nonstrangers and associations with disordered eating and psychological distress. Findings indicated coping and self-objectification significantly influenced the relationship between sexual harassment and outcomes. The findings provided a unique contribution to literature, highlighting the importance of addressing both stranger and nonstranger harassment.
