Obsession, Sabotage, Recognition: counter cinema in Melbourne post-punk independent filmmaking

This thesis by Prior Publication in Creative Practice investigates three short experimental films made by the candidate in the 1980s. The films and accompanying exegesis examine 'Obsession', 'Recognition' and 'Sabotage' within the theoretical frame of oppositional counter cinema in the context of experimental film making in Melbourne's post-punk cultural milieu.
