On The Nature Strip - an exegesis

This thesis examines the generative forces in the author’s three novels. An interrogation of the historical, cultural and spatial implications of the author’s relationship to landscape, animals and trauma reveals that the novels represent a quest for embodied knowledge – a return to her imaginative home on the Australian nature strip.
