On the Development of Manganese Bearing Precipitation Hardenable Stainless Steels

This study successfully reduced the material/processing cost of precipitation hardenable stainless steels with little or no compromise on mechanical properties through an advanced computational alloy design approach. The fundamental of the phase transformation of these steels and its effect on the microstructure and mechanical properties was thoroughly investigated.
