Pappadums in paradise? : journeys of Indian migrant women to Australia

Based on a series of interviews with eleven Indian migrant women to Australia, this dissertation canvasses issues of migration, female subjectivity, searching for an identity, border-crossing and breaking away with traditions. How these women assimilate into the white Australian society is also shown.
