This study gathered information about parenting programs and play from parents who experience intergenerational poverty. The study trialled a parenting course specifically designed to meet the needs of parents who experience poverty and was highly effective and successful in its implementation. The course 'Parents Play' was successfully rolled out in Australia and overseas and resulted in the development of Principles of Parent Engagement.
