thesis
posted on 2023-03-29, 05:23 authored by Maram Qasim
This thesis investigates the perception of humour use in the Muslim preachers’ videos on social media. The narratives of 16 Arab-Muslim Australians were analysed using the framework of Critical Discourse Analysis. The qualitative analysis of the data disclosed the types, boundaries, impacts, and functions of humour in mediated Islamic discourse.
