Performing masculinity and leadership : male academics' work practices and identities

The thesis considers academics' work practices. There are three major findings: that leadership training in universities needs to be more relevant and socially inclusive; that university personnel must be better protected from instances of workplace intimidation, and that more male academics need to be aware of gender issues. Narrative research methods are applied.
