Perinatal Depression and Anxiety and Offspring Cognitive Development

This thesis investigated the relationship between perinatal maternal depression and anxiety and child development, with a specific focus on executive function and academic achievement in middle childhood. The findings support the notion that perinatal mental health disorders may have an adverse impact on child development and underscore the importance of screening, early intervention and treatment.
