Phase transformations in nano-structured bainitic steels

The in-situ neutron diffraction studies revealed that carbon partitioning occurs subsequent to the bainitic transformation. It was the first time a cementite embryo was observed through atom probe tomography in “Nanobainite”. The transformation was also studied following previous plastic deformation, thus clarifying a few debatable questions.
