Photocatalytic Membrane Reactors of Nanoporous Three-Layered Structures for Carbon Dioxide Separation and Conversion

This study investigated three-layered photocatalytic membrane reactors, including the nanoporous heterojunctions of vanadium and cerium-doped titanium oxides (semiconductors), sputtered on neat/activated carbon cloths (supports), followed by coating with Pebax®1657 (selective layer). This developed composite structure was utilised to effectively separate and convert carbon dioxide to other chemicals under solar-simulated irradiation.
