Population dynamics of the infaunal bivalve, Soletellina alba

A small bivalve, known as "brown shell", is used locally for bait. This study examined its distribution, abundance and growth near the mouth of the Hopkins estuary. Understanding the ecology of such species is important for future management of them under increased harvesting or artificial opening of the river mouth.<p></p>
