This research investigates the process of learning to teach of pre-service teachers in practicums as well as the factors that influence their learning to teach. The findings indicated that the pre-service teachers took an active role in their learning, the alignment between theory and practice as well as the (dis)connection between universities and fieldwork places impacted pre-service teachers’ learning.
