Predictors of Successful Tobacco Smoking Cessation

thesis
posted on 2023-06-09, 04:21 authored by Lauren Arancini
This thesis explored lifestyle, health and psychological predictors of both quit smoking attempts and sustained success. This thesis supports the need to tailor interventions according to variables such as age (specifically for younger smokers, while interest in quitting remains high) and nicotine dependence, and highlights the importance of beliefs, self-efficacy and wanting to quit in the quit smoking process as possible targets for effective intervention.
