Readymades, Remades and Unmades: Tony Carter?s 1983 Exhibition Restaged

This research explores the idea that what we know about an image changes the way we see it. Artworks from Tony Carter's exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery in 1983 are used as the lens through which to focus this project. The project provides new insights into Tony Carter's work and shows how different kinds of knowledge shape perception.<p></p>
