Receptiveness and resistance: perceptions of insulin use in type 2 diabetes

The aim of this thesis was to investigate attitudes to insulin therapy among Australian adults with type 2 diabetes. Using a mixed methods approach, this research identified barriers and facilitators of insulin initiation, ongoing use, and intensification, as well as factors associated with resistance or receptiveness to insulin therapy.
