Mr Badge's thesis is titled Reconciling authority with reason: Gadamer and the problem of authority. Joshua studied the relationship between authority and reason and showed that, contrary to influential accounts, the two are compatible. Further, they demonstrated the relevance of hermeneutics to contemporary discussions in philosophy.
