This thesis investigates the feasibility of commercial-scale aerobic rice cultivation in temperate Australia for improved water productivity. Showing that automated irrigation systems are required to enable aerobic rice production and devising cost-effective irrigation scheduling at scale with decision support tools developed to assist rice growers, industry, and future researchers.<p></p>
