Robotic General Surgery within a regional centre in Australia

This thesis evaluates the introduction of a robotic technique for minimally invasive surgery within an Australian regional single institution. Our study showed that a robotic approach to general surgery was not inferior to a laparoscopic approach. Therefore, robotic general surgery is a safe and suitable alternative to laparoscopy.
