Salt and Skin: Climate Change in Australia and Orkney

thesis
posted on 2024-11-26, 03:51 authored by Eliza-Jane Henry-Jones
This thesis utilises a hauntological and new materialist perspective in order to examine the traumascapes associated with the 17th century Orcadian witch-hunts. This research additionally reimagines these traumascapes into a work of contemporary climate fiction, set across Australia and Orkney. These findings contribute to understandings of how traumascapes can be explored in fiction.
