This study explored lichen from various geographical locations for metabolite profiling, with bioactivity-guided isolation and identification of secondary metabolites. Insights were gained into promising drug leads from lichen, as well as the opportunities nanotechnology presents for drug delivery of more specific and less toxic therapeutics.
