Soldier settlement after World War One in south western Victoria

The thesis explores the physical aspects of soldier settlement with particular reference to the settlers' interaction with their physical environment. It concludes that the environmental factors which impacted on the business of farming had a greater influence on the fortunes of the men than has hitherto been recognised.
