This study investigated endophytic fungi as production systems for high-value materials. Some of the fungi investigated exhibited biologically active antioxidant activity, contained red pigments or synthesized gold nanoparticles. The study supports the use of endophytic fungi as potential cell factories for the production of these commercially useful materials.
