Synthesis and characterisation of high-performance, fire-retardant polymer networks via ring-opening polymerisation

This thesis investigates the processability and structure/property relationships of two families of highly aromatic thermosetting resin systems which polymerise via oxazoline and epoxide functional groups. The research is interlinked by a focus on their ring-opening polymerisation mechanisms and fire retardancy.
