The Human Mirror Neuron System and Empathy: A Multimodal Investigation

This thesis examined the neurobiological role of the mirror neuron system (MNS) in empathy using a number of neurophysiological, psychophysiological, and behavioural methods in a large sample of healthy adults. Results revealed the MNS to be predictive of empathy, and that empathy can be cohered into a multi process construct.
