The Impacts of Proxy War on Afghanistan

This thesis examines the effects of the proxy war on Afghanistan from 2001 to 2014, focusing on Taliban-Pakistan relations during the war. The main argument of this thesis is that proxy war prolonged violence and profoundly challenged the state's legitimacy, its monopoly on the use of violence, and its territorial control.
