The Influence of Adversity on the Narrative Construction of Identity

This project contributes to life writing, cognitive psychology and studies of memory and perception through narrating the life story of the candidate’s grandfather. It explores how resilient self-identity may be created out of the overlap of individual and institutional narratives while navigating the ethical issues of telling someone else’s story.
