The Relationship Between Microstructure And Wear Behaviour Of Hardfacings

This study investigates the effect of matrix and hard-phase properties on the wear behaviour of a wide range of hardfacings under low- and high-stress abrasion, and impact wear. The insights obtained from wear analysis were used to design new hardfacing alloys with improved abrasion resistance especially under high-stress conditions.
