The Role of Gambling Motives in Gambling Behaviour and Severity

This thesis focused on relationships between gambling motives, behaviour and severity. Findings included a positive relationship between gambling for coping, enhancement, financial or social motives and gambling severity. Psychological variables including distress intolerance moderated these relationships, which provides implications for future targeted intervention programs.<p></p>
