The Voice of Recovery: The Experience of Young People Who Have Been Dual Clients of Child Protection and Youth Justice

Young people who have received dual statutory orders from the Children?s Court receive both child protection and youth justice services. They are one of the most vulnerable groups in society. Evidence points to the struggle they experience to recover from the impact of abuse and trauma and to cease criminal behaviour. In the State of Victoria, there are approximately 400 young people in this group. They are a group of people whose voices have not been adequately heard.
