The paradox of failure: sport, competition and contemporary art

This research interrogates restaging as a video art methodology. It examines ideas around sport, art, failure and the ageing female body. The use of humour and emotion, absurdity, precariousness, optimism and contingency emerge in the artworks as research tools and as a means of undermining cultural hierarchies.
