The process-structure-properties of steel in abrasive wear

This experimental and numerical research project investigates the grooving behaviors of steels with different microstructures and properties. The findings showed that work hardening increment in the sub-surface layer reduces material removal rates in austenitic steels. This was confirmed throughout both experiments and simulations.
