The role of protein kinase D in obesity

This thesis explored the role protein kinase D plays in both adipose tissue and the heart during obesity using multiple cell and animal models. This identified key functions for protein kinase D in energy metabolism and cardiac structure, ultimately contributing knowledge towards the cellular mechanisms that underpin the development of obesity and associated heart disease.<p></p>
